So after I performed my first show I went back to the drawing board. I kind of wanted to try something else. I've always wanted to dj and had a free program on my computer called Mixxx. So I just started throwing up random tracks and recording the progress.
This was the first one. It's really just the Mix running through my usb condenser mic with a few unnoticeable effects. It's really heavy. I don't remember the songs I used, mostly picked at random.
Then the next day I had so much fun I decided to just do it again.
This one I felt was a tad more successful. Things I was trying out in the first one didn't really seem fluid and I was starting to get a hang of the features more and more and definitely the spinning felt more natural (or I found out how I like to do it.)
Then I made a mix when I was playing with Mack and Pat.
Then Mack came over the other night and wanted to check it out. The good thing about Mack is that he was asking me questions that I had the answer for but I didn't necessarily put it all together until I showed him what this free software could do.
Finally I made one today that was a complete experiment. Mixxxed while using more decks, put hella reverb with a touch of delay, and put vocals through a mic on this new one. Hope you enjoyed this history of my mixxx and the tunes.
