Longevity

Longevity

When the tides met through the smallest of irises
and the waves joined holding the mantle
rises above us all, persisting in biases

And the force pushed us all, tumbling when we stand still
resisting the urges to crumble remaining evasive
dodging the inertia until the next one makes the land fill

All of us holding onto their persuasion
Till our meaning which is this tiny thread of hope
remains the only thing left to be creative

but as we flood by, rushing, fearful, until we hit a slope
looking up like it was the first, reacting defensive
“no one could stop this fury” until we acknowledge the rope

the twines, leading into the hands of the beings, is only apprehensive
this system, pushing and pushing, waiting for you to eventually fall
but its not just us, or them, but it is extensive

surrounding not only our life but existence with no forestall
its not like we are doomed as if it was actually effecting us
at all because that wind was just a close call

Life is just meaningless and irrelevant
so we should just all sit back and live in the experiment
